As we strongly believe that our guests come first, it is truly saddening to learn we were not able to control the undesirable behaviour of some guests, who seem to respect rules in their country but not when they visit ours. We would like to apologize for the unforgivable behaviour of other guests. We regret that we failed to live up to your wishes and we do check daily our food offer, combining quality and variety catering for all tastes.

In order to fulfil every guest expectations regarding food, our main buffet and theme restaurants offer a great selection of exquisitely presented local and international dishes which are prepared daily with the utmost care and using fresh ingredients. It is unfortunate to learn, that regardless our chefs’ efforts, we could not meet your taste. Lovely staff, clean, bright and airy rooms, nice beach location, awful food and entertainment!ĭear 807clairep, Thank you very much for choosing our RIU for your holidays and for taking the time to write a comment about your stay. The food, and entertainment really let this place down. If you want to be surrounded by drunken, loud and brash Americans this will suit. Having been to several Riu Palace hotels this is not one we will return to. We had many nights of sleep ruined by noises guests shouting and singing in the corridors past 2am. The night entertainment was awful, particularly the Queen tribute, we couldn’t stand it and left early. The fitness chap Joe was happy chatting up pretty girls instead of putting in the effort to provide a decent class. Seeing how far you can throw a paper aeroplane or your flip flop is not my idea of entertainment. The entertainment was awful, the day team were never on time, and were lacking in ideas. We didn’t want the starter but it wasn’t an option to do so, so we ended up wasting lots of food which is something I hate. The food was lovely but it was clear the staff wanted you in and out. We went to the steak restaurant one evening and it felt like being on a rushed conveyor belt. The standard wasn’t great and we were disappointed. The buffet was adequate but got very repetitive. Not sure if it was the pool, food or ice. We spent the entire trip with stomach twinges and plenty of trips to the toilet. Plenty of space to swim, chat, relax and plenty of Sun loungers with shades options. One swim pool which was heated, nice slope access and used for water aerobics. One pool for water volley ball, good size and really enjoyed playing. A pool with fixed loungers under water, this was freezing so we avoided. Four pools - a swim up bar which is overrun by Americans who spend the entire day there getting hammered and louder by the minute. No complaints for their service, they worked tirelessly. The room was bright, clean and airy - there was a bath in the middle of the room which is not my cup of tea but am sure it suits some! Walk in shower, double sink, king size bed, plenty of towels, and lovely towel arrangements daily by cleaning staff.

We were given a drink on arrival of melon juice instead of the normal Riu Bucks Fizz. It was smooth and quick with the staff taking our suitcases to the room. Upon arrival the desk staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. To say it is five stars and a Riu Palace I expected better. Just got back from two weeks at this hotel.
